Proudly Canadian and Built to Lead in Solar Refrigeration.

Why Choose Solstice Products?
Low voltage. Durable. Safe.
Solstice offers a wide range of refrigerators and freezers designed to run on 12V or 24V DC. These units are ideal for solar and other off-grid energy systems. Known for their low power consumption, they keep food cold even when other power sources aren't available.
While propane fridges may seem like a go-to solution, most modern models still require 12V DC power to manage ignition and temperature controls. Unlike Solstice, they rely on a live flame. If not properly vented, that flame can produce carbon monoxide, which is a serious risk for anyone inside an RV.

HAPPY CUSTUMERS SAY IT ALL
"I really enjoyed talking with Geneviève because she was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Our refrigerator arrived on time and it’s beautiful. Exactly what I ordered. So far, I’m very satisfied."

Rachel Hoogenhoud
I bought my first Solstice 4 years ago for my very first camper, and it’s truly an excellent product! The biggest advantage: the separate freezer – an absolute must. Now with my second camper, I chose another Solstice and love it just as much. Plus, the service from TSI Refrigeration is outstanding!

Why Choose a 12/24 Volt Dc Refrigerator or Freezer
Power Yourself with Clean Energy
Solstice refrigerators work differently than traditional propane models found in many RVs or cottages. They operate more like your home fridge, designed for efficient off-grid use.
Each unit runs on a 12 or 24 volt DC compressor instead of the cooling coils used in propane fridges. The compressor draws just 2.5 to 3.5 amps per hour at 12 volts. Once the set temperature is reached, it shuts off completely and only restarts when cooling is needed again. Other 12-volt fridges often run constantly, using more energy over time.
Cooling cycles typically last 10 to 15 minutes and adjust based on outdoor temperature and how often the door is opened. This system uses less energy and cools faster than propane.
Solstice units use R134a refrigerant, the same gas found in most home refrigerators. It's safer, more effective and easier to service than ammonia-based systems.
These fridges are often paired with a battery bank and solar panel setup that matches your energy needs.
