Legal Warranty of Good Working Order — 6 Years

​

In Québec, new refrigerators purchased by consumers from merchants under contracts entered on or after October 5, 2026, are automatically protected by a six (6) year legal warranty of good working order, starting on the original delivery date.

This protection is provided at no additional cost under Québec's Consumer Protection Act.

Additional Consumer Rights

In addition to the six-year legal warranty of good working order, Québec law provides other consumer protections at no additional cost.

These protections include the right to expect that a refrigerator will function as intended and remain usable for a reasonable period, considering its characteristics and normal use.

Certain protections may continue to apply even after the six-year legal warranty of good working order has expired, under sections 37 and 38 of Québec's Consumer Protection Act.

The SolFreeze manufacturer's limited warranty is provided in addition to these legal protections and does not restrict any statutory consumer rights.
